I didn’t quite realize that Switzerland had given up so much sovereignty in return for free trade. I agree, the Swiss model may not suit Britain, as the immigration issue is so important to its citizens. Control over migration and movement of people I feel would have to be guaranteed in Britain’s case, and I’m not confident that the EU would negotiate.
