It is true that triggering article 50 of the TUE does not put immediately at risk individual rights, but only if triggering article 50 is not irrevocable. If it is irrevocable, instead, at the end of the period of negotiations individual rights and domestic laws will be deprived of effect in any case.
The parties before the High Court agreed about the irrevocability of withdrawal under article 50, but perhaps it is an issue that ECJ should address, as the application of EU law is involved.
